Wow, so that was a surreal post title to type!
I’m going to cut right to the chase because I’ve been running around like a crazy person lately trying to juggle five million things. (Slight exaggeration. But only by a little.) I set up a handy events page which you can check any old day, but I wanted to take a moment and announce my upcoming appearances via the blog for those of you who may read solely via rss subscriptions.
On to the goods…
APRIL 20th at 1PM
Barnes & Noble – Book Signing and Release Party
110 Albany Tpk #305, Canton, CT 06019 // 860-693-0115
I’m heading to my homestate of Connecticut to celebrate TAKEN’s release, and if you live in the area, I’d love to see you! I’ll answer questions, sign books, and maybe even read a page or two from TAKEN. I’ve set up a facebook event page for the party, and if you can come, please RSVP yes via facebook so that B&N can order enough copies for the event. And if you know any friends/family in the area, I’d love your help spreading the word about the launch party. Facebook link sharing is encouraged!
APRIL 25th at 6M
Hollis Library – Author Visit and Book Signing
2 Monument Square, Hollis, NH 03049 // 603-465-7721
For New Hampshire/Boston peeps — I’ll be stopping by Hollis Library to talk about my writing journey and then sign copies. Toadstool Bookshop will be present for anyone who wants to buy copies at the actual event. Again, I’d love to see you!
APRIL 27th (ALL DAY)
Edgefest– All day signing
FC Dallas Stadium, 9200 World Cup Way ,Frisco, TX 75034
I’m so excited about this event! Not only is the lineup for Edgefest looking fantastic this year, but I’m going to be spending the entire day with nine other awesome YA authors: Mindee Arnett, Brodi Ashton, Kendare Blake, Susan Dennard, C.C. Hunter, Brigid Kemmerer, Mary Lindsey, Victoria Scott, and Rachel Vincent. We’ll have a YA tent set up and books will be available for purchase and signing. If you’re at the concert, please come pay us a visit!
MAY 29th thru June 14th
And lastly, there’s the Young Authors Give Back Tour! If you missed the announcement earlier this week, I’ll be heading on tour with YA authors Susan Dennard, Sarah J. Maas, and Kat Zhang come spring. We’ll be attending book signings and discussion panels, and we’ll also be hosting free writing workshops for young aspiring writers along the way. Be sure to check out the official website for more details, but in short, here are the cities we plan to hit up:
- New York, NY (5/29-6/1)
- Philadelphia, PA (6/2-6/4)
- Baltimore, MD (6/4-6/6)
- Pittsburgh, PA (6/6-6/7)
- Cleveland, OH (6/8-6/9)
- Grand Rapids, MI (6/9-6/11)
- Chicago, IL (6/12-6/14)
More appearances will likely be finalized in coming weeks, and I’ll make sure to add them to the events page asap.
I really hope to see some of you at the above events. (Seriously: meeting internet friends IRL is one of my most favorite things.) Please be warned though that I am terrible with names. If we talk all the time on this blog or twitter, and I don’t immediately place you, please-please-please remind me. Just say: Erin, you dummy! I’m [handle] on twitter. My avatar is [Harry catching the Snitch]. We talk all the time! Hopefully this will help jog my memory :)
PS: Be sure to check back tomorrow–the one month marker (!!!) for TAKEN’s release–to enter a final ARC giveaway. (I cannot believe how closer we’re getting!)
PPS: I’ve been blog-hopping a bit this week. If you’re interested, you can read about the origins for TAKEN on my agent’s blog, or get a tour of my office via Meagan Spooner’s Write Space feature.
Happy Friday, all!
